Youth & Young Adult Program

The Safety Center provides outreach and education to youth and young adults (ages 12-25) on dating violence, healthy dating relationships, and resources in a safe and comfortable place. The Asian Pacific Islander Women and Family Safety Center (APIWFSC) Youth and Young Adult Program works within these ages, because it is the time that most people begin to think about dating and sex, so it is an ideal time to begin developing healthy relationship models. These models are based on anti-oppression values. As a prevention program, we encourage youth and young adults to be involved in community in order to empower themselves to be peer advocates to encourage each others in times of learning and crisis.
